Time Difference Configuration
Introduction
ConnectALL enables you to sync data between two applications seamlessly by allowing you to configure the time difference (if any) between the ConnectALL installed location and the application server installed location. This is used if you have installed both of your servers in different time zone locations.
Time Difference Calculation
You can easily define the time difference calculation for an automation in ConnectALL when you are configuring a new automation. This is essential for syncing your records with the correct time difference. The time difference is set in the Flow Properties section of the Entity Mapping tab.
We have provided a time difference calculation table below that covers scenarios where the ConnectALL server and the application server are located in different timezone locations. The resulting time difference is provided in seconds. If your servers are not in the timezones covered in the below example, you can download the Timezone offset calculation.xlsx, enter the time difference according to your server locations, and calculate the time difference.
ConnectALL TimeZone Offset (based on GMT) | APP SERVER TimeZone OFFSET | Difference (In hours) (ConnectALL server(-) AppServer | In Seconds | ||

Configuring the Time Difference
You can easily enter the time difference calculation in ConnectALL when you are configuring an automation.
To set the time difference:
- Access the Entity Mapping tab. This tab will come up naturally when creating a new automation. For an existing automation, click the Modify button to find this tab.
- Navigate to the Flow Properties tab, expanding it if necessary.
- Enter the required information in the Time Difference field.
- Note that you can set a Time Zone for an automation on the Connections screen as well. Note that you do not need configure the time difference here if you have selected a timezone. If you have done both, the timezone selected on the Connections screen takes precedence. If you did not select a timezone, the time-difference configured here on the Entity Mapping tab will be considered.
- There are some applications where the Time Zone selection is not required. In such applications (such as Atlassian Jira and Micro Focus ALM), the Time Zone field will be grayed out on the Connection screen while creating an automation.
