Is Java required to run the installer?

No. Java is not required to run the ConnectALL installer. Note that, for the ConnectALL application to run successfully, a java installation is required and the JAVA_HOME environment variable should be set on prior.  Otherwise, you can opt for installing the java environment that comes bundled with the ConnectALL installer.
